The theatre club offers students of all ages a chance to explore English creatively through acting games and short scenes from plays, movies, TV and monologues. Most meetings are devoted to a separate work, which is “performed” at the end of the hour and a half class for all members of the club. Some meetings focus on acting skills instead of pieces, such as building a character or using a tangible action. Students can both act and direct. The club is designed to improve studentsʼ fluency, vocabulary, pronunciation and confidence in English and to expose them to new works and authors.
